SERVICES and EVENTS

  • Scholarships offered to seniors residing within Wentzville School District

  • Hosting the Turkey Trot race, benefiting Wentzville Holt Cross Country Team and our club service programs

  • Lending Libraries located at: Lindenwood Ice Area and Whisper Creek Fire House #5 on Hwy Z

  • Shower of Love - Collecting and distribution of donations supporting crisis newborns

  • Backpacks of Food - Preparing bags of food to be distributed to children for weekend meals

  • Annual Youth Police Academy - Assisting at the event organized by Wentzville Police Department

  • Annual Health and Safety Fair - Assisting at event organized by Wentzville Police Department

  • Wentzville Back to School - Prepare visitor bags and assist with MO Chip registration

  • Annual Poinsettia Sales - Raising money for scholarships and student supply closets

2023- EVENTS CALENDAR

​Club Meeting - 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, 6:30 - 7:30PM at IHOP Meeting Room (arrive early to eat with us)

October - Fall Turkey Trot - Students in the Wentzville School District area, third grade through sixth grade can participate.  The winner in each bracket receives a frozen turkey and a medal.  The top third racers of each bracket receive a medal.  All racers receive a race shirt* and a race bib.  *race shirts if registered prior to entry deadline

​

The race encourages kids to have a healthy lifestyle, supports the Holt Cross Country Team, and helps fund our club scholarships and activities.

November - December - Poinsettia Sales - Proceeds help fund our annual scholarships

​

December - Trim-a-tree at the Wentzville Police Department

​

January - Optimist International Essay and Oratorical contest judging.  Winners receive a $500 scholarship and a single winner of each contest advances to the zone/regional/ and possibly the International contest

​

February - Lake St. Louis Polar Plunge - Our team helps at the event which raises money for the Special Olympics

​

~~NEW for Spring of 2024~~ Our club is considering starting a new late spring/early summer cross-country race which will be open to all racers.  Join us to help with planning the event and determining how the proceeds will benefit the kids in our community.

May - Scholarship presentations and awards banquet at our club meeting

​

July - Helping Wentzville Police Explorers at the summer camp

​

August - Back to School Fair; Filling backpacks with school supplies for the fair, helping the Masons during the fair with their MoCHIP program

​

September - Officer Recognition; recognizing an officer in Wentzville and Lake St. Louis for their service to kids

​

We also support 2 Lending Libraries in the community; Wentzville Ice Arena, Whisper Creek Fire Station
